At a glance

A combined sachet aimed at people who would otherwise take two products. Sensible if you want both; less sensible if you only want creatine, since you are paying for the electrolytes either way.

It may suit you if

  • You already take both creatine and an electrolyte drink
  • You train in heat or sweat heavily
  • You want a flavoured option

You may prefer something else if

  • You only want creatine
  • You are watching sodium intake

What is in it

The label, in full

Every active ingredient amount is printed on the label.

Micronised creatine monohydrate
5,000mg

A compound your body already makes and stores in muscle. Micronised simply means ground finer so it mixes better. The standard daily amount is well established. Typical serving across the market: 3g – 5g. Published human research: extensive.

Sodium, potassium and magnesium blend
640mg sodium

Sodium is the main variable. Sports-oriented sachets can carry three or four times the sodium of everyday hydration products. Typical serving across the market: 300mg – 1000mg sodium. Published human research: extensive.

Magnesium bisglycinate
60mg

Magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine. Generally better tolerated by the digestive system than magnesium oxide, and usually more expensive. Typical serving across the market: 100mg – 375mg elemental. Published human research: moderate.

Other ingredients

Natural lime flavour, Steviol glycosides.

Cost per serving is the fairest way to compare, because pack sizes vary enormously within the same category. It still does not account for how much active ingredient is in each serving — check that too.
